Friday 1st Results - Volume, Volume, Volume

What's up guys,

As you can see in the title, the theme of friday nights session was volume. I set out to play as many tournaments as I could fit in on the schedule and give myself the best opportunity of getting a win.
Friday night is a good night to do so with the extra £3.30 and £5.50 Mega Stack on the schedule.

All in all we managed to get 12 tournaments in on the night, which a lot of you guys will think is nothing, but I was only regging between 6 and 9. I was 9 tabling at one point which with the software and short time bank is definitely a challenge.

Still, really enjoyed all the action throughout the night and the challenge of playing that many tables, and it looks to have translated in results this time with 4 deep runs!

Lets take a look at the results -

Mini Avenger £2000 GTD Bounty Hunter

Had a great start in what was my main event of the night. Got this crazy spot early on -

Great situation to hold, picking up two ante's and a big stack.
I made it to the end of the add on period with a healthy stack of around 11k from the 2k starting. I then took the add on for £5 that boosted me up to around 15k.

From here we chipped up as we went through the mid stages, but unfortunately the blinds caught up to us after a period of being card dead, and we were put in a spot where we had to jam A7s UTG in this spot below -

As you can see we ran into AJ and were busted in 34th place.

Was a fun sweat to get a deep run in the main event and to have 3 deep runs going on the side. Getting 2nd/4th and 5th in tournaments on the night.

Great night at the tables and putting more volume in to counteract the variance of tournaments is something I will be looking to do more in future for my off stream sessions.

Hope to see some of you all at the tables tonight on the sunday grind, and until next time, good luck at the tables!

Thursday 30th Results - Back on Twitch

Whats up guys,

Last night we were back on Twitch with another session in the Sky Poker £500 challenge.

As you guys can see I made a couple of small changes to the graphics with us getting in to the festive season, and the hope that a change might turn our luck around.....

It looked like that was the case with us qualifying for the £8000 Guaranteed Hitman for just £7.20 early on.

However, when it came to the event itself, we couldn't find any hands and ended up getting it in with 77<KJs as a flip and busted out of the event before making the money.

We played 11 tournaments in total last night, quite a few considering I was streaming, usually the volume decreases but that was not the case last night.

Lets get into the results -

As far as volume goes though when streaming it's more of a case of, less is more, because you know if i'm playing a lot I have to be busting a lot to bring new games up. Therefore, losing money.

But overall happy again with how I played, just gotta keep plugging away until we get that next big score, which I'm sure is just around the corner.

I'm just about to start up my friday session, so I will be back tomorrow with more results, until then, best of luck at the tables!

Tuesday 28th Results - The Run Bad Is Real

Hi Guys,

Welcome back to the £500 Challenge, and the results from last night's tournament session.

Again, it was the same old story from the last few sessions, I felt like I focused quite well throughout the session, but just kept getting it in and losing with for the majority, was the best hand.

Has a super bad start to the session busting early in the £7.70, £5.50, and bullet 1 in the £5.50 Rebuy.
Pulled a little back in the £2.20s cashing in both the Deep Stack and Bounty Hunter for the first time in a few sessions.

Still feel like I'm easily beating these games and once again one or two scores away from being in profit on the challenge.

I  will be back tomorrow with the challenge and a live stream on Twitch!

Monday 27th Results - DTD Team ADS Debut!

Whats up guys,

Welcome back to another results post for the £500 challenge. This post for once, will be less about my results but the results of my team.

To quickly explain, I was advised after playing and streaming the DTD events last monday to start my own team, so I went on to the forum and asked about forming Team ADS.
A few days later and the team is set up with a strong 11 players and a great chance at getting points on the board in week 1.

For all of you that aren't aware of the DTD events I will quickly post the rules from the Sky Poker forum below.

MONDAY FORUM DTD INCLUDES THE NOVEMBER MONTHLY LEAGUE

Here's how it is going to work.Your best 2 scores from 3 are added together & the lowest wins the Prize . Your score in each

eg if 2 players both finish on 30 pts and 1 finishes a tourny in 1st & the other 2nd the player
finishing in the 1st place will be deemed the winner

We had 10 players last night competing for team ADS in all 3 DTD Events, those 10 players were -

  • Adsthepro7
  • VktrVaughn
  • BaldEag1e
  • The_Eggs
  • Waller02
  • Morris707
  • Allan 23
  • Davidson09
  • Duesenber
  • MynaFrett

Event 1 - £2 DeepStack

Unfortunately, nobody from the team on the final table in this one, with the deepest run coming from Morris707, who finished in 9th place.

Event 2 £1 DoubleStack

Great showing from us in this event, with Baldeagle and Allan23 making the final table, finishing 3rd and 6th respectively.

Event 3 - £2 Bounty Hunter

This event was another great one for us with The_Eggs finishing in 4th and amazingly Allan23 with another final table, finishing 6th.

Overall Weekly Top 10

As you can see we have 3 people in the top 10! And an overall winner for the team in the very first week.
Congratulations to Allan23 for the win and the £25 in tournament tokens.

Just want to say thanks to everyone in my team for getting involved and playing the events. Was great fun to have some of you in the stream watching live, and we will once again be back next week with Team ADS to go for the win once again!

If you play on Sky Poker and want to get involved you can do so by visiting this link. All you have to do is post your screen name and chosen team in the forum and you're in.

Now let's get into the £500 Challenge Results on the night -

We gave it our best shot in the DTD events but unfortunately just coming up short. Overall another losing night for the challenge but nothing massive.
Was great that the team was successful tonight and hopefully that can continue in future.

Thanks again to everyone that tuned in on Twitch and participated in the events, I will see you all next time.

Sunday 26th Results - Same Old Sunday

Hi guys,

Just wanted to get the results from sunday out quick post stream tonight, results for tonight will be up tomorrow in the day.

Sunday nights grind was like every other sunday has been on the challenge, building some nice stacks early and getting no luck as we approach the money.

Lets get straight to the results -

Not the biggest loss on the day, slightly helped with the profit in the £5.50 Bounty Hunter, came close in the satellites but couldn't quite get into any £22s or £33s for a big sweat.

Just got done with a night playing DTD events which was super fun and live on Twitch. Will be back tomorrow with updates on that.

Have a great night and I'll see you tomorrow!

Sunday 26th - Quick Update

Evening guys,

Wanted to write a short update this evening, I haven't played since the win on wednesday just down to working every day up to now.

Good news is, tonight we are back on the grind with a sunday session. Hoping to continue the good run and get back over £500.

Main Event -

£11 Mini Major
FreezeOut
£2000 Guaranteed

Should be a fun one even though our sunday record right now is abysmal. Gotta stay positive though, it's the best opportunity to make a big score in the week, and I'm ready to crush it.

For those of you waiting for the next Twitch stream I will be back over the next couple days with some more live gambling!

Hope everyone has a great sunday and good luck to all that are playing!

Wednesday 22nd Results - Big Day For The Challenge!

What's up guys,

Welcome back once again to the £500 Challenge.

Last night we played a session of tournaments on Sky Poker headlined by the Mini Predator £2000 Guarantee. All my action was streamed live on my Twitch channel.

I think it's safe to say that last night's session was a good one, it started well making the top 17 in the £7.20 Satellite, earning a ticket into the £8000 Guaranteed £33 Predator Event.

The tournament itself was a fun one, with a deep structure and a massive prize pool. We had a few pots early on and were hovering around starting stack for the first few levels.

All in all there were two key pots we played, the first was with AK, we got it in vs a short stack with JJ, and a bigger stack that had A9. We did manage to hold vs the A9 to stay alive, but unfortunately lost to the JJ for a bounty and a big stack at the time.

The bustout hand was super standard, we got 15BB's in with 77 and got called off by 55, a 5 on the flop and river meant our tournament was over and we busted before the money.
I definitely want to continue with these in future, it was fun to have a sweat for a big prize pool and the structure itself was great.

The night itself carried on, and at the time we busted the Predator, we were once again, for the second night in a row at the final table of the £5.50 Rebuy Bounty Hunter!

We ran super well to get ourselves in the spot we were in, going into the final table as one of the short stacks, we ran our stack up to the chip lead with 4 players left. The action was super fast because of the shallow stacks and surprisingly aggressive play.

Before we knew it we were heads up for £87 + Bounties. The first pot we had our opponent all in, we shuved A5o over a limp from villain with 10BB's, he snapped us off with JJ and held for the double up. We still had the lead at this point but only a small advantage.

The key, and final hand of the tournament, we opened TT on the button and villain calls, flop 682 rainbow, we bet here for value and our opponent shuvs. Obviously I'm never folding here but was shocked to see him flip over Q5o for the bluff! We held for all the chips and the super important extra value in bounties.

Lets get to the full results -

You can watch the full replay here for now, it is muted in parts, but we should have a new YouTube video out soon with highlights.

It feels great to get back to winning ways, and in a big way almost getting us back to even on the challenge. We have been here a couple times so far but hopefully this time we can push on and get into some big profit.

I will be back now next week, starting monday with more action on the challenge, hope you guys enjoyed the stream last night. Looking forward to getting back online again and potentially getting some more deep runs.

Until then, Good Luck at the tables and I'll see you later!

Tuesday 21st Results - Bounty Hunter Final Table

Whats up guys,

We are back once again with some more results from the £500 challenge. The last update left us on £391 after a small losing session on monday night.

As far as last night goes, in terms of results it was the same old story, just call me the nearly man from now on.
Had a final table as the title says, the tournament in question was the one I bubbled monday night. It is the £5.50 Rebuy Bounty Hunter, to be honest it was nice to avenge the brutal bubble hand from the night before with a nice cash.

Unfortunately, as the picture shows we couldn't make it past 6th which is becoming a pretty common finishing position in this challenge.
We did come into the final table as the short stack to be fair, eventually finding a spot to shuv with AKo running into JJ and KK respectively to put us out of the tournament with a £35 cash.

Here are the full session results -

Well, once again it's another losing day, but only a small one. I will take that when we are running as bad as we are right now in the bigger spots. Happy with my overall play in the most part, especially deeper in the tournaments.

Best thing to do in my opinion with situations like this is to carry on and get more volume in, it will eventually turn around and as long as the losses are small like this one it's fine.

I have cut out the £11s and may cut out the £7.7/£7.2 if the bankroll falls below £350, but for now they will remain.

I will be back live once again tonight and this time I will be live on Twitch with a stream.

Just wanted to add in now here, that I have started uploading YouTube videos with highlights from the streams, you can check the first one out below and make sure you are subscribed to the channel for more updates going forward.

Thanks for all the support to date, we will be continuing with this challenge until the end, appreciate all the comments on the forum.

Good luck at the tables tonight and I'll be back tomorrow with more results!

Monday 20th Results - So Close Yet So Far

Evening Guys,

Last night I played a full session of Sky tournaments in the £500 Challenge and streamed it all live on Twitch.

It was an up and down night at the tables that started well, we were in good position in 3 tournaments simultaneously (£5.50 Rebuy BH, £5.50 BH, £7.70 BH) Picking up stacks and bounties in each of them early to put us in a really good position heading into the later part of the session.

But, unfortunately things didn't run out well for us, failing to cash in all three of the key tournament runs on the night.
The sickest spot of the 3 was no doubt in the £5.50 Rebuy BH, which we ended up bubbling, although we did make money due to picking up bounties.

At this point everyone was super short, the chip leader had 20BB's and the average was around 10. I was in the BB with A2o and facing a limper from EP, I decided to check my option. The flop rolled out A82 rainbow.
I called a bet from the original limper hoping to induce some bluffs on later streets.
I checked turn (T) and he did indeed shuv, he then flipped over A8 for a bigger two pair and with the river bringing a blank, sick spot given the situation but other than just jamming pre I think I played it fine.

Lets get to the full results -

So, a small loss on the day overall but we were in position to go deep in a lot of events, ending up being a night of what could've been.

I will personally be back on Twitch most likely tomorrow evening, but will be grinding off stream this evening. The reason for not streaming is, as some of you know that watched yesterday, I'm not feeling great and I just need some time to rest and recover the voice to go again tomorrow.

Hope you all have a great night and I will hopefully see some of you at the tables once again!

Monday 20th November - Mini Marksman and Streaming LIVE

What's up everyone,

We are back once again with the £500 bankroll challenge on Sky Poker.
The Mini UKOPS may be over, but we have some work to do after a tough series and pull this bankroll back over £500.

Tonight's tournaments will be the usual schedule headlined by the £5.50 £2k Guaranteed Mini Marksman and for a second time we will be getting involved in the £7.20 Semi to the £33 Marksman Main Event.

We will once again be live on Twitch this evening, so if you want to follow the action you can do so over on twitch.tv/adamyelland123.

Good Luck to everyone on the grind tonight and I will hopefully see some of you on Twitch later this evening!

Sunday 19 November 2017

Saturday 18th Results - Mini UKOPS Day 3

Evening guys,

Last night was the longest Twitch Stream I have done for a while, it consisted of 12 tournaments, 3 Mini UKOPS events, some super big coolers and beats and some fun action.

Unfortunately although the session was long, we ran like a donkey with 3 legs. Couldn't win a flip when it counted and just some super horrible run outs with premium hands throughout.

Lets get right to the pain......I mean results -

If you want to catch a replay of the Twitch stream you find it here

Even though the session was a poor one in terms of results, I still had good fun streaming the action on Twitch and will definitely be making it more of a regular thing in future with this challenge.

It does however mean we are right back under £400 once again, only just, but under nevertheless. But, as you all know it only takes that one big score to propel us right back up to, or over £500.

Last night was the last of the Mini UKOPS for us, had a lot of fun over the series and had a couple cashes, the biggest being the final table bubble in Event 04.

Good luck to anyone in the Main or any of the last few events in the final day of Mini UKOPS XX.

We will be back monday evening with some more great tournament action LIVE on Twitch TV. So, until then. Good luck at the tables!

Saturday 18 November 2017

Mini UKOPS Saturday - Live On Twitch TV!

Whats up guys,

Just a quick update to go over what's happening tonight.
I'm going to be playing 3 Mini UKOPS Events and some events on the side, and will be streaming it all live on my Twitch Channel.

If there's one bit of feedback I have got so far that is the most positive, it is the stream and how much you all enjoy following the action or watching it back the day after.
I also think it is good to get Sky Poker some awareness in the Twitch arena, and potentially bring some new players into the site.

Tonight Mini UKOPS Events are -

18.30 - Event 23 £2.20 Bounty Hunter
19.30 - Event 24 £5.50 Rebuy
20.30 - Event 25 £11.00 Bounty Hunter

Going to be playing a lot of different events on the side and some satellites into the £33.00 Sharpshooter at 20.00.

As I said this will all be live on Twitch so check that out if you want to follow along with the action.

I'll be back again tomorrow with the results, but until then. Good Luck at the tables!

Thursday 16 November 2017

UKOPS Day 2 Results - 4 Chances at a Trophy!

What's up people,

Welcome back once again to another review of my tournaments on Sky Poker. Last night was Day 2 of my UKOPS Series and it was a big one with 4 juicy Bounty Hunters to get involved in. The events were -

UKOPS 09 - £2.20 BH
UKOPS 10 - £5.50 BH
MAIN EVENT UKOPS 11 - £11 BH
UKOPS 12 - £3.30 Turbo BH

As always the games were really good but unfortunately we couldn't get it done last night and book another win. I think this was down to a couple reasons.

At the start of the session I was rushing around trying to get the results post out from the night before, which took a lot longer than usual with all the Twitch Clips I inputted.
Second being just running bad, not winning the all ins when it mattered. Just the usual for MTT's, even the best in the world have losing days, not that I'm anywhere close to that level, but I do okay.

As you can see, a scarce amount of cashes on the night, unfortunately taking the bankroll back under the £500 starting amount.

But this is nothing for us at this point, going to be 100% focused in on the next session, and will be posting more hands for review in the Sky Poker Forums to try and improve as we go through this challenge.

Thanks a lot for all the feedback via the Sky Poker forums and the players on Sky. I will be back saturday for the next installment.

Until then, and as always, good luck at the tables!

Wednesday 15 November 2017

Tuesday 14th Results - UKOPS 05 DEEP Run!

With the nature of the events last night and streaming on Twitch it was going to go one of two ways, a very quick night and a short stream, or a long night of deep runs and cashes.

I enjoyed streaming the events on Twitch, the only downside to it was the fact I could only have 4 tables running while streaming making the tournaments I could play pretty limited due to the deep runs.

The positive out of it is that you can all see highlights and the big hands in the blog.

Let's get into the results -

You can see the full results and what looks like a great session above, but that doesn't tell half the story of what went down. Let's take a look at some of the hands via Twitch clips from last nights tournaments.

£5.50 Bounty Hunter £1000 GTD - 7/189

Mini UKOPS 05 £2.20 Turbo - 7/236

That pretty much covers all the big hands from the two cashes I had. If you are wondering why there is no sound in some of the clips, it's because I was playing music and Twitch will block sound for parts of the VOD on playback.

Plenty of big hands to search out and a lot of big spots, some going my way some not. The biggest hand being the QQ<JJ for a huge pot, a bounty, and the chip lead with 8 left.

Always good to be in profit though, can never complain at that. Good start to the series too with a deep run in event 5.

Let me know what you all think of the links to Twitch clips, I'll be back with you all tomorrow for another review of tonights session off stream.

Until then, good luck at the tables.

PROMO - Mini UKOPS XX

Hi guys,

Sorry, no poker updates today but we have exciting things coming up on Sky.
Mini UKOPS is just around the corner and I can't wait to get involved and make some big money of the challenge.

The post UKOPS depression is definitely a thing, as most Sky players will verify. But this series is great to combat that with some great events and big prizes up for grabs.

Lets go over some of the info on the upcoming series -

  • 13th - 19th of November
  • Smallest Buy In - £2.20
  • Main Event - £11 FreezeOut
  • 31 Events
  • £50,000 Guaranteed
  • Mini UKOPS Leaderboard with £1500 in Prizes

Some fantastic events on the way, with great guarantees across the board and affordable buy ins for everyone. Making for softer fields, big bounties, large prize pools, and more opportunities for that big score.

My Mini UKOPS Schedule -

Tuesday 14th
Mini UKOPS 05 - £2.20 Turbo
Mini UKOPS 06 - £5.50 Turbo
Mini UKOPS 07 - £11 Turbo Mega Stack Bounty Hunter
Mini UKOPS 08 - £3.30 Turbo Bounty Hunter

Wednesday 15th
Mini UKOPS 09 - £2.20 Bounty Hunter
Mini UKOPS 10 - £5.50 Bounty Hunter

Mini UKOPS 26 - £3.30 Turbo Bounty Hunter

Sunday 19th
Mini UKOPS 28 - £5.50 Omaha Hi - Lo Bounty Hunter

That is my pre schedule, it is subject to change and I may flick in the main event if I can get off work monday morning.

All the events above will be covered on the blog as always, and as we speak I am setting up my Twitch overlay for the series with the intention to get on for the majority of the days I'm playing.

I personally can't wait to get into the action on Sky, the site is always great when a tournament series is live, lots of new faces, more cash games running and it just is genuinely a good fun atmosphere at the tables.

Thanks for reading and the next time you will hear from me will be when the series is up and running.

Hope you all have a great night and I'll see you next time.

Thursday 9th Results - 4 Final Tables!

Hi guys,

Tonight was one of the best nights for the challenge so far, and before totalling all the results up I'm thinking for sure it's going to be the biggest winning session for the challenge so far.

We made 4 final tables - £3.30 PLO H/L, £11 Bounty Hunter, another £11 Bounty Hunter, and the £5.50 FreezeOut.

Probably the most in terms of volume of final tables I've had on one night on Sky to date. Obviously I have had bigger scores but still a good achievement.

Before we go over some key hands and review the session let's start with the results -

Little bit of an overhaul on the graphics, with all the bankroll and full session results inputted.

With one of the biggest single nights of profit I have had on Sky, we finally got some run good and a clean run at a tournament, taking one down and making 4 FINAL TABLES!

As you can see now by the bankroll is super close to being back to £500 after just one session.

I'm going to go through some of the screenshots I took through the session.

                  £11 Final Table 1 >>>>>>

<<<<<< £11 Final Table 2

                   PLO 2nd Place>>>>>>

<<£5.50 FreezeOut Heads Up

                                                    £5.50 FreezeOut Winner!>>>>>

We came into the £11 final tables as the shortest stack, so I wasn't too disappointed about not closing those ones out, it's always good when you can get a positive return from the biggest buy ins of the night.

I decided at the last second yesterday to flick in the £3.30 PLO H/L. Was fun to  play a different game and try out something new, also makes it fun when you end up getting 2nd place for 7x the buy in.
I'm thinking about adding some more of those in to the schedule just for some more volume.

the biggest score of the night came in the £5.50 FreezeOut, I busted the last £11 and was left 1 tabling the freezeout at the end of the session, this allowed me to focus 100% on the action, and shockingly it worked, I of course ran good and held up in some big spots, on and before the final table.

Getting the win just capped off a great session and a the biggest winning one to date. It's great because it gives us room to play all the 11s again and with Mini UKOPS coming up on Sky Poker I want to be getting involved in as many events as possible.

One thing I have decided to stop is the pre session schedule, one because they are getting quite repetitive in terms of the games we are playing each night and two, I don't want to be tied down to a set schedule, like last night where we added in the Omaha event.
The better I feel during the session the more I will play.

That's it for me on this one, it was a fun night at the tables and I hope you guys enjoyed the recap. I'll be back tomorrow with a full challenge recap and back soon with another session on Sky.

Until then, have a great day and good luck at the tables!

Quick Challenge Update

Just a quick update on the bankroll.  We've hit a pretty big downswing from basically the beginning of this year, finishing the session ...
